Is it weird to be super giddy about a pantry?? Well I am! I have such great ideas for my pantry and can’t wait for it to be completely done. Back in September I bought a sign for my pantry, and have held onto it since. I found it at HomeGoods and freaked out when I saw it because the wording sounds just like what would come out of my mouth. It says..
I Love All
Oh yeah! Totally a ” Cherelle ” saying. So now I am able to finally use the sign in my pantry and today I am going to show you my farmhouse pantry..almost finished!
Let’s take a trip down memory lane shall we?
Not too bad, but it needed some cute-ifying.
First thing I did was throw away those purple-crumb filled shelf liners.
For the walls I wanted a dark ” navy-ish” color. I actually don’t even know why, it kind of came into my brain one day and then I just stuck with it.
Next I got to removing the carpet..
and to my amazement, there was yet another layer of ” carpet ” underneath; the plastic turf kind. Just like the plastic green turf faux grass, but in brown!
does anyone know when this could have possibly been considered ” attractive “??
I’ll save you the snoozefest..
We laid down flooring..
…painted the shelves
Planked the ceiling!
We bought two packs of these EverTrue plank paneling from Lowes. They are about $12.00 each pack.
I love the planked ceiling! I have wanted one, but didn’t have the courage to do a larger room, so it fits well in the pantry.
ceiling done, crown molding on and my beloved sign placed in its rightful spot!
In true ” Cherelle ” fashion, I chose two different patterned shelf liners, because as you know, matching is SO boring! One light brown gingham and one light grey quatrefoil.
Shelf liner done and started adding decor touches
Hanging Shelf organizer for bags
Laid down the rug
I still have yet to organize my food on the shelves and one last pantry project. The last project will be to make an old wooden, weathered screen door ( as the pantry door ), with a sign that says “Pantry” and to hang a cute wreath on it. I’ll keep you guys updated! But before I go, one more before and after.
It’s comin along!
