Easy Chicken Recipe — With Delicious Sauce
I have a friend who wants me to post everything I cook. She told me to post ALL the recipes! So this is for you S- girl 🙂 . It is super quick and easy.
It all began one Tuesday evening. The day was long, and dreary. There were many chores left and home school had taken up most of the day. Laundry was piled high and we had started installing the coffered ceiling in our bedroom. There on the counter, lay a plate of raw chicken, with no hope. Nothing had been planned for the meal that would soon atop our dinner plates. With only a few hours left until at church; time was running out. Something had to be done… quickly!
That’s when it was time for a scope of imagination!
This meal was literally thrown together and the results were crazy good! My family kept raving of the sauce throughout the meal and I had to stop them and go ” really guys, I throw something together and you rave THIS much about it “? Sometimes it’s those simple recipes that only require a few ingredients, that are THEE best!
This Easy Baked Chicken – With Delicious Sauce dish could be made with any cut of chicken; bone in, boneless, thighs, breasts… you name it. Have fun!
Easy Chicken Recipe — With Delicious Sauce
This recipe is a dish that you can throw together quickly. It makes a delicious sauce that goes great over buttered rice and veggies.
- 1-2 lbs Chicken Boneless Thighs (or any type of chicken you have on hand; bone -in , boneless, breasts, thighs.. you name it!)
- 1/2 tsp of each Sea Salt, Garlic Powder, Onion powder
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 1/4 cup Red Wine Vinegar
- 2 tbsp Yellow Mustard

Preheat oven to 425 F

Place the chicken in an oven safe dish.

Season the chicken with the three seasonings ( salt, garlic powder and onion powder ).

Whisk together all of the ingredients for the sauce- 1/4 cup of honey, 1/4 cup of red wine vinegar and the 2 tablespoons of yellow mustard.

Pour the sauce over the chicken.

Cover with foil and bake in the preheated 425 F oven for 20 minutes ( more or less depending on type and amount of chicken ). The internal temperature should be 165 F.

Serve with buttered rice ( no seriously, you must serve with buttered rice in order to taste all of the deliciousness that awaits you ) and spoon the sauce over the chicken and the rice. Done!
