These super delicious ribs have a wonderfully smokey flavor, and by cooking them in the crockpot it yields the amazing fall-off-the-bone goodness!

When your family tells you that ” THESE RIBS ” are better than your local BBQ joint; you score massive cool points!
We were on a super huge Famous Daves kick years ago, and for those of you who’ve eaten there before, know that it’s sort of pricey.
I set out with my crazy taste buds to try and make just as good as ribs at home.
And now, I think I’ve nailed it!
These BBQ ribs are super easy to whip up, put in your crockpot and forget about it. Talk about a great weeknight meal for busy moms!
First, these ribs start out with a homemade dry rub (chemical-free). If you look at most premixed seasonings, they usually contain a lot of unwanted additives.
This recipe is naturally Paleo and Gluten-Free depending on the BBQ sauce you choose to use.

For my homemade rib rub, I used a mixture of sea salt, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, ground mustard, and celery seed. Once I mix all of my spices together, I give the slab of ribs a nice generous dry rub on both sides.
With all of these flavors combined, it creates a WOW-ness in your mouth.

After the ribs get the dry rub applied, I line them up around the perimeter of the crockpot. Trust me on this!

Now, since these are made in the crockpot and NOT in a smoker, to give us that delicious smokey ribs taste, I add some all-natural liquid smoke!

These delicious ribs cook in the crockpot on low for up to 8 hours and when they are done, they literally fall off the bone, so you’ll need some help getting them out!
After I take the ribs out of the crockpot, I place them on a baking sheet, brush on some BBQ sauce and sprinkle with some coconut sugar or brown sugar and pop them under the broiler for a minute or so to crisp up on the edges and top.

These easy BBQ ribs pair nicely with my creamy whipped mashed potatoes, a salad and you’ve got an awesome, homemade meal!

- 1 Rack Pork Loin Ribs
- 1 and 1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground Mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon Celery Seed
- 1 teaspoon Liquid Smoke
- BBQ Sauce of Choice
- 2 tablespoons Coconut Sugar (You could use brown sugar)
Mix together the salt, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, ground mustard and celery seed together. Rub on both sides of the ribs.
Place the rack of ribs in your slow cooker standing up and lining the sides of the slow cooker. DO NOT lay the ribs down.
Add 1 teaspoon of liquid smoke to the ribs. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Check after 6 hours to see if meat pulls away from the bone easily.
After 6-8 hours once the ribs easily pull apart from the bone, turn the slow cooker off and let cool for about 5 minutes.
Being careful not to have the ribs fall apart, carefully remove the rack of ribs and place them on a baking sheet. Pour BBQ sauce over the top side of the ribs and sprinkle with the 2 tablespoons of coconut sugar. Place under your ovens broiler on HIGH for 1 minute. WATCH CLOSELY so that they won’t burn.
Serve and enjoy!
