Healthy Vanilla Yogurt + Orange Creamsicle Yogurt
I feel pretty brilliant right now, just sayin! Today I am going to share with you two super easy ways to make flavored yogurt, that’s healthy and not full of refined sugar. Plus… they are quick and healthy to make.
Have you ever noticed how flavored yogurts are SO not healthy? Check this out:
A small serving cup of vanilla yogurt contains 19 grams of sugar, which is equal to almost 5 teaspoons of sugar! Yikes! Talk about sweet. This definitely won’t help you Tame Your Sweet Tooth , like we talked about in the healthier living post!
Now unless you like consuming massive amounts of sugar in one sitting, you probably want to learn how to make flavored yogurts yourself. I will be sharing a Vanilla yogurt and an Orange Creamsicle yogurt with you. After you learn to make these, you can easily come up with other flavors.

Let's start with the Vanilla yogurt first:

This will make one serving of yogurt for an adult ( or two for children ):
Ingredients:
1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon Pure Maple Syrup ( not fake syrup like Aunt Jemima or Mrs. Butterworth )
Steps:
1. Put one cup of plain greek yogurt into a mixing bowl.
2. Add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
3. Add 1 tablespoon AND the 1 teaspoon of Pure maple Syrup.
4. Mix well, enjoy!
Boom! Told you it was going to be easy! Chemical free, refined sugar free, healthy vanilla yogurt!
Now for the Orange Creamsicle Yogurt:

Ingredients:
( You must make the vanilla yogurt recipe FIRST )
2 Orange Slices ( juiced )
Steps:
1. Make the vanilla yogurt recipe first.
2. Squeeze the juice of two orange slices into the vanilla yogurt, mix well and enjoy a natural Orange Creamsicle flavored yogurt!
Now, this is when you can get creative. Once you make this healthy vanilla yogurt recipe, you can add any pureed, sliced or juiced fruits to the yogurt to make a variety of flavored yogurts. Strawberry, peach, pineapple, blueberry.. anything!

Healthy Vanilla Yogurt + Orange Creamsicle Yogurt
This creamy vanilla yogurt is chemical-free and refined sugar-free. After making the vanilla yogurt, you can easily turn it into dreamy, orange creamsicle yogurt with one quick tip!
Ingredients
- 1 Cup plain greek yogurt
- 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 Tablespoon, plus 1 teaspoon Maple Syrup
- (Juice from 2 orange slices for Orange Creamsicle)
Instructions
- Add one cup of plain greek yogurt to a mixing bowl.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
- Add 1 tablespoon AND 1 teaspoon pure maple syrup.
- Mix well and enjoy for vanilla yogurt!
- To make Orange Creamsicle- Add the juice from two orange slices to your vanilla yogurt mixture, and mix well.
